I decided that since I de-railed a topic recently that I really needed for us to have a place to talk about everything/anything else except about H & K products.  Bout time huh?

Have at it Guys and Gals!

I find it amazing that this forum now has 219 users.  That in itself is amazing.  I have never heard a peep from H & K.  Not that I need or want to, but it is interesting that they have never reached out to us.  Their amps are much louder than they are.

Great idea Hwystar. A coffee shop for tossing thoughts and ideas around is a good thing to have. You guys can banish me to "go get a latte" when I start on one of my War and Peace length posts.

The impression that I get from following their Faecesbook entries is that H&K do maybe keep an eye on this site from time to time. And I know first hand that they respond to questions and comments we post there. I do agree with you, it would be nice to have some direct input from them on matters where they could guide us in response to our own comments in this forum too. The trouble is that as soon as they do that they invite mud pies to be thrown straight at them.

Anyway, I likee the relaxing area. Can we have really deep bean bags, and definitely no muzak please, maybe an open mic area instead? And brownies to eat with the coffee? Embarassed

Hey...  For you guys, what's a little sub forum!

On Piano World there is a person on the forum that helps users with Kawai digital pianos (Kawai James). It really helps to promote their products and he answers "simple" questions for the users. If H & K were to have a rep reply like James does it would be a win-win.  He has direct access to the whole team and it helps them develop and support better products.  Here is one of his posts: Piano World. He is a real pro.

Let me know if this sub-forum is enough.  Keep in mind that I think we need to keep the pages on topic for H & K products.  There are a "butt-load" of guitar/amp forums out there to talk about the weather and who won last Sunday's game!

I just threw away a dead lava lamp this weekend... Crying or Very sad My daughter gave it to me but the fluids had gotten totally gross.  Time for a new one!

Laced brownies???  My wife and I are looking into getting our pot license so that my wife can use CBD for her illnesses. Bring the brownies on Man!

I make no promises whatsoever, but I may be able to get us a connection at H&K soon. I won`t say much more because I don`t want to put the cart before the horse but I will certainly see what I can do.

Had a good, healthy conversation with several of the H&K guys, both from the US as well as Germany. While they are perfectly happy to answer any of our questions and concerns, they remained firm that facebook is the way to get it done and they don`t have the resources to dedicate someone to another forum. I tried, fellas, but it looks like business as usual for now.

Don't apologise Jeff, for my money you've done great work there and got the best result we could have realistically expected.

I, for one, can understand their reluctance to spread their support beyond what they see is the most efficient place.  Sometimes we forget that they are a business and must do everything they can to stay profitable.  They do genuinely seem to be guys who love their work and their products but there has to be a limit to that if they are to stay in business.  It may seem to us like it's no work for them to maintain a presence here, but what about the other sites which would then nag them to do the same.  No, as long as they have that attitude of being "perfectly happy to answer any of our questions and concerns" and they genuinely do communicate with us on that level I don't think we can criticise them too much.

The real test will be when we go onto their FB page and ask them something technical about the design of their amps!  Let's see if they are open and communicative then.  Of course there is a limit about how much they can divulge but some information could be made available.  (Is everyone else compiling a list in their heads just as I'm doing?)

Yeah it was worth a try. Thanks Jeff.

It is true they are usually very responsive on their FB page.

Thanks Jeff! They may still show up some day. Sales is sales and sometimes that comes in a support format.
