Who has clips to share?

As I`m working on my first official solo album there are the inevitable outtakes along the way. I`ve got a few of them on video....some are not suitable for public consumption LOL. Here is one from the other day. I was working on a particular section, all of 16 bars long, and I blew it at least 30 times, getting more and more frustrated. I finally had to blow off some steam, and this was the result (phone video):

Great idea for a thread and, wow Jeff, what a great post.  The Voodoo name is not misplaced!  Personally I never would nor could play like that, it's an anathema to me!  But I hugely admire those who can and still remain in touch with the rest of us mere mortals.

I'm waiting for more now. Don't leave it too long. Holding my breath here until I get it! Not breathing until you do. OH COME ON!!!

There are far mightier shredders than I (I`m not really a shredder these days anyway), and ultimately what really impresses me, personally, is when someone plays the hell out of their guitar in the manner they set out to do. Style aside, when you can tell that someone has poured their soul into learning to play at whatever level they are....THAT is what rocks my socks. Hence this thread. I like the raw, the unpolished, the outtakes.

Every time I go to watch your video I am sitting at the kitchen table with my wife and I can't do it... I will!

I can never play the same thing twice. Even chords. It is not in my personality. Practice? Is that French for lazy? About the only thing I can shred is lettuce. I can't even begin to spell arpeggio let alone do it. I have to many other hobbies that take away from my practice time. Piano is the biggest distraction. But a really good one!

Nice Jeff! Great control and really tight. The action on that bad boy must be fairly low. What kind of axe is that? I know I have seen that headstock somewhere before... (duh! I just looked at your signature)

Yep, Brian Moore guitar. The action is comfortable, not crazy low but too low to play a slide on. Amazing guitars.

Here`s the birth of a new song called "You Said it All (Without Saying a Word)". This is just the foundation of the tune. It starts wit Cmaj9, moves into F#Maj7/C# (lydian) for the "B" section, then into Gm9 (dorian), then the solo will be in Cm (minor/dorian) before coming back to C major again. This particular tune is written for a very special person whom I miss very much that isn`t with us any longer. I wanted a nice, soft yet positive instrumental.
Took me a while to get in a place to find the right melody. With the acoustic guitar through the looper, this one just unfolded in my lap. Obviously just a rough capture of the idea, but I like it so far

This one is a test drive of my new looper. The goal is to get it to sync to the drum track in a live setting (EHX720 Looper)
