Returning my GM 36 and checking out

Post by Acid Test on Thu Jun 19, 2014 4:01 am

I have decided to return my GM 36. The amp is amazing and sounds great but I am most concerned about the long-term reliability of an amp with so many feature and generates the type of heat that it does. I know H&K says the heat is normal but what else would they say.

I also considered the large number of issues the TM has had (lots of forum posts and plenty of refurbs available support this) and the similarities to the GM 36.

Thanks to all that have posted answers to my questions and the best of luck with your amps.

Sorry to hear. Hopefully the GM36 doesn't have the same problems.

I understand where you are coming from Acid Test. The GM36 is not the end all do all amp, but for the price it does have a lot of features that other amps don't have. And it does sound good for cover band playing. It's also great for recording with.

We wish you the best! Let us know what amp you switched to and how it worked out for you.
