    I am new to the Hughes and Kettner scene and have the deluxe 20, I have tried to find out what the blue cylinder is around the pre amp tube. I cant find anything! What is it there for? please help!

    Hi, I think is just a shield to limit noise levels. The first pre-amp valve is more susceptible to noise (because is working with weaker signals), so that's why is the only one covered.
