I had the problem on my GM36 but H&K took care of it. Actually, they sent me a new head in just a few days. Props to them for prompt customer service.

Yes, absolutely I have had that problem.FenderBender wrote:Hello there, i have a tubemeister deluxe 40 that i have bought in Janury and recently it started to shut down randomly. Has anyone else experienced this problem or has any idea what may be the cause?
It would be working fine one day, I'd take it to a jam the next and nothing, DOA.
I would take it back to my dealer and it would fire up just fine.
Back and forth I would go to my dealer with a dead amp and it would fire up again.
Looking like an idiot much?
Finally, as it was under warranty, I insisted they give me a new one which they did.
Low and behold the new one did it as well. They replaced an FET and sent me on my way.
Happened again this time the clean channel sounded flubby and the two others were almost MAI.
Then one day it sprang to life and although not 100% it was useable.
Yesterday I pulled out the original tubes and put in Russian and Slovak tubes which are supposed
to run cooler than the Chinese originals.
The amp now sounds better than it did new!
So welcome to the club
