Tubemeister 5 manual Empty Tubemeister 5 manual

Post by joaquincuervo Mon Jun 12, 2023 4:37 pm

    Hello,

I recently purchased a Tubemeister 5 on Reverb.com and it did not come with a manual. I tried downloading from the Hughes & Kettner website but the link provided does not work.

Does anyone here have a pdf version of the Tubemeister 5 manual that they could share, or a link to a legitimate site to download?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

the "original" (not working) URL is https://oldies.hughes-and-kettner.com/TubeMeister_5_Head/Tubemeister.zip

I changed https: to http: in that URL and it worked for me.

    Hope that helps.

https:// and http:// sites are becoming a nuisance nowadays.  They are exactly the same protocol but the "S" denotes a "secure" link which has safety encryption being applied by sites using https.  Some security software is now stepping in and refusing to allow simpler http sites to load.  The industry always wants to think for you, (often for reasons of its own rather than for your benefit)!  I have problems with Firefox doing this to me and I have to take steps to force it to allow me access to older sites I really need.  Sorry you have experienced this.  It may be your system is doing something similar.

EDIT:  Just tried the link myself and it does exactly the same for me.  The link on the H&K site is to a https:// address and fails.  With the "s" removed it is fine.  I'll inform H&K support now.

EDITEDIT: H&K have now been informed of this. And of the fact that the "Accept Cookies" popup on their site seems to now be repeatedly in German! "Nur essenzielle cookies akzeptieren" means "Only accept essential cookies"!
