New Grand Meister owner. Stopping in to say hi!

Here is my new (to me) GM with my Jet City 2x12 cab which I have loaded with Carvin GT12-6 speakers.

Very cool little amp. Is a bit bright with the JC cab and Carvin speakers. Tried it with my V3 4x12 cab with V30. Sounds awesome through that. Though, I still had to keep the presence and treble both around the 9 O'clock position. Definitely, lots of bottom end with the 4x12.  I'm thinking of trying some different tubes. Voodoo Jef suggested ECC803s. I'll maybe try some WGS Reaper HP's in the 2x12. See what that will give me. Might try the original JC/Eminence speakers as well. See if they sound better with the head.
Again, very cool little amp. I just need to find the right combo of Guitar/Tubes/ Speaker. Cool

Hey KH, welcome aboard over here Smile

Nice to see you got it, and at a good deal, if I remember reading correctly. The amp requires such subtle differences to sound really amazing. The 803`s are very much to my liking, maybe a little fat sounding for someone who prefers a super tight modern metal style tone. I prefer an open, organic tone that I can tighten up with some compressor if absolutely necessary.

I recommend playing with the amp as is for a while, then get a good feel for what you`d keep and what you`d like to change. Then ask around to see how various people got those things to happen. No sense in tossing darts in the dark just to see what a difference it makes if there`s a shorter route to getting what you want.
