Thanks,Bordonbert.Yes i'm intrigued by this Amp,a lot of the Demos i have watched are very encouraging, obviously at my age(although if i'm reading your age right,i'm a youngster Very Happy very unusual for me on Equipment forums)i don't play Metal(but i do quite like the Noise it makes),but i have heard some decent sounds, across a wide range of styles.
What really got my interest was the way Devin Townsend dialed it in from sounding a bit naff,to really good, especially the way the presence & resonance controls interacted with the different channels,he appeared to be doing it from scratch with no prior experience of the GM40,of course he is slightly more accomplished than i am,so i suppose that might have helped Smile .

Hahaha! My age? Oh yes, it's a closely guarded secret. 96 just seemed to be how I felt on the day I filled in the profile. Too much accurate public info on the web is something I'm never too comfortable about. Let's just say I'm now retired in the UK and not too far below your own ballpark, but "I'm as old as my tongue and a little bit older than my teeth" as my granny used to say. Wink

It's a real plus point to have a wide range of ages on the forum, particularly with a sprinkling of us 'longtooth' guys there to throw in that common sense or logical side to any argument. Or it should be if everyone has an appreciation of what the other ages actually bring to the table and actually listens before ruling it out. (I've had to review my own position on that nowadays with the influx of GM40 owners who tend to be a fair bit younger than I am.)

BB showed me his driver license. Yup, he's 96. But he still rocks with the best of them!

He's not 96. I talk a good game of crapola. But, he doesn't play soccer anymore. What do they call it? Football? It's a big pond between us sometimes. I am glad to have you mates here!

    Howdy howdy!
I have my GMD40 on order ... it is backordered.
So, I have been waiting ... waiting ... waiting.

I have one more show with my monster 200lb+ rig.
After that, I am scaling my rig down around the GMD40.
