Have you noticed that the bass nobb dont affect the sound so much?
Treble and mid affect the sound more. This is at bedroom levels.

    comments?

    Cheers

Hey there. I've found that the amp is very sensitive to cab/speaker. What are you running the amp through? Also, at low volume levels, it's hard to generate much bass. When you can, see how it responds when you crank the volume a little bit more

    Hi
I have a 2*12 with Vintage 30. I think ut can be a bit to bright cab for GM36.
The precense is at min and treble at maybe 20% on gain sounds and LP with burstbucker. It sounds good but not so normal setting.

I can hear that the bass knob does something but it is way much more subtle that treble and mid knob.
But it may be designed that way. I dont think the bass electrical circuit is broken.

It seems to affect very low frequensys.

    cheers

I too had noticed a distinct treble bias when used with the TM212 cab. I picked up a couple of Celestion Creamback 65s over the weekend and fitted them and suddenly all the bass I was missing was there and the harsh trebles I was really struggling to dial out were gone.

The Creambacks aren't the perfect speakers for me as they're a touch too hollow, but much better to my ears than the Vintage 30s. I may try a mix of the two over the weekend and see how that sounds.

    Cheers,

I'm using 2x12 Greenbacks (25W) and love them. The Vintage30's are way too harsh to my ears. Don't know why H&K use them in their cabs.

Well two 25 W speakers should cope with tube meister on 36W with volume at noon?
Or are we to close to the limit?

If you crank the Mids the bass is less effective. This is explained in the manual.

    Bass, Mid, Treble:
Heads Up: These are classic passive tone controls that influence one
another. For example, if you crank the Mid knob, the Bass knob will be
less effective than when you back the Mid knob down. Presence and
Resonance are independent of the three-band voicing controls; that is,
their action remains unaffected by other knobs settings.

I know that line from the manual. I have mid at noon. Still I think bass knob is subtle.
However this is at low volumes.
The amp has alot more bass response that my old blackstar so the sound is there.

JUst though that dialing down the bass would make a bigger impact.
The amp moves alot of air when cranked. ;-)

    Cheers
