    GM36   <==>   BOSS GT10 Empty GM36 <==> BOSS GT10

    Post by Paula74 Wed Nov 19, 2014 5:21 am

    Hello,

    i am using the GM36 with my BOSS GT10 as a Midi-Controller. (connected via 4 cable method  + midi)
    Changing Presets with GT10 works fine.

    Now my question:
    Want to control the "Boost" of GM36 with the "CTL1-Button" from the GT10.

    > push ( ON ) "CTL1"      ==> BOOST ON ( GM36 )
    > push ( OFF ) "CTL1"     ==> BOOST OFF ( GM36 )

    Does anybody know how this can be realized?

    Thnks a lot

    Can't test this myself since I don't have one, but "Boost" is controller 64 for MIDI.

    So on the GT10 I think you can go into the "System Menu",  then select "MIDI" -> "Setting".

    Then select "CTL1 Out".  Change the value to CC #64.

    Thanks,

    Midi Setting CC#64 will control "BOOST" on GM36.
    But the Problem with Boss GT10 is:
    Push "CTL1" on Boss Gt10 will turn on the "BOOST" --- but you have to press the CTL1-Button permanent. When release the Button the "BOOST" turns off.
    That means:
    ( "CTL1"-Midi-Comand CC#64 ) on Boss Gt10 does only works as " Moment Switch" not as a "Toggle Switch".
    Any other Idea ?

    Hi. What exactly is not working for you? You may also want to read the post about using the GM36 with a Boss GT6 as it could help.

    Hi,
    It will change the channels ok, but i cant get the volume pedal to work right, if you change patches the volume is ok, but when you touch the actual pedal the volume drops.
    Hard to explain sorry.
    I wanted to use the volume pedal to adjust my volume as i played, it worked perfect with my marshall 410c.
    Thanks.

    By that last comment do you mean you have fixed the issue or you have read the other posts on the GT6?

    Must admit I use the GT100 expression pedal for volume but it changes the GT100 output volume as opposed to the GM36 volume.

    Hi,
    What i did was, went into system on the GT 10, midi, each control pedal and exp pedal and volume control pedal had an assigned midi no, so i turned them all off. Not the control switches.
    And it made the volume pedal work perfect.
    I read about the GT 6 and it helped thanks.
    I also ssigned control pedal B to #64 wich turns the boost on/off.
    Result
