    H&K footswitch? Empty H&K footswitch?

Post by crankall Wed Feb 25, 2015 10:07 am

Hey I am new to the forum. I purchased my Tubemeister back in the spring of '14. Bought
it used and it came with a Vox footswitch, which works fine except for a very noticeable 'pop'
when switching channels. Wondered if the H&K footswitch is quiet, or would there be any
    difference. Would appreciate any input...thanks!

I have the H&K two button footswitch for my tm 18 and I don't get any pop, you could get the h&k and return it if doesn't make any difference. It's a very solid footswitch, a bit heavy which is kind of funny seeing as the how the tubemeisters are so light.

Ok that sounds great. I will go get the H&K footswitch pronto.
    Thanks for your helpful response.

I can recommend the Thomann generic foot switches.  They're called Lead Foot FS-2, 2 x switches per unit, £9.07 inc VAT + postage!  They're a steal.  I use 2 of them to control the channel selection and the effects/reverb.  There will be some who criticise because they aren't mounted in a steel girder but I don't tend to tap dance on my pedals!  They're amply strong enough for normal gigging use.

That's a metal centre section with plastic end cheeks.

I use a Marshall and an H&K footswitch between my 18 and 36. I don't get any pops between channels.
