App took over foot switch - how to solve this?

Hi, I have the Black Spirit 200 connected to the foot switch. Just started to learn how to manage the various tones in the banks. After a day or two, I wanted to tweak some tones and save them, so I connected the amp to the app and switched tones from the app itself. However, this seems to override the foot switch. Since connecting the app, I haven't been able to operate anything via the foot switch - even after disconnecting the app, turning off Bluetooth and turning the amp off and back on.
Is this a known issue? I hope that this can be easily corrected but can't find the solution.
